the Hertel family

I photographed Jessica and Ryan's wedding several years ago. I was so happy to hear from them and learn that a baby was on the way. We had some weather issues so our shoot ended up being really close to Jessica's due date. I kind of liked that, because at the end of pregnancy the mom is pretty big and ready to pop- and it is such a contrast to see after you've had the baby, that you were that pregnant!!
They asked for some suggestions on locations... they wanted to check out the Point Loma lighthouse, but we learned that the park closed to early for sunset photos. So I suggested Sunset Cliffs and they were game. We got some great shots! Please check out my favs>>>

Sierra 1 year old!

1 year has come and gone for little Sierra. She has grown into such a cute, outgoing, funny, and sweet little girl. I love love love meeting kiddos as newborns and then seeing them grow. Such an honor. Such a cute family- and so many good pics! Here are some of my favs>>>

the Almond family

I photographed the Almond's wedding several years ago. They got in touch with me when Nicole was pregnant with baby number two. It was so fun to meet Jack (their almost 3 year old). He was so full of energy and he had a blast down by the ocean seeing the waves and playing. It's always tricky with a toddler and the ocean- the temptation to get wet is over the top. He did a great job resisting until the end of the shoot. They are such a cute family-- enjoy my favs>>>

Leila

This little one came into the world and it was so wonderful to capture her first photographs. She was wide awake for the start of our shoot. With newborns its a 50/50 chance if they are super sleepy or very alert. Miss Leila gave us a little of both. By the end of the shoot she was fast asleep...and such a sweetheart! Also a little shot out to their dog- who joined us for several photos and was a great boy!

Carter

This little guy was just mastering walking. It's a challenging age to photograph- they are on the move and don't really want to be still. There's a lot of chasing, redirecting, and distracting. In the end we got some great shots... he is a sweetie and I had a lot of fun getting down to his level and capturing the moment.
